Cypress Creek Cottages has twelve cottages sleeping three to six people each, and 53 across the whole property. Every one has a private hot tub, a full kitchen and one bathroom. Dogs are $15 a night, any breed, any size.
What’s it like to stay in a cottage instead of a hotel room?
A Cypress Creek cottage is a free-standing one- or two-bedroom cabin with its own front door and its own deck. Nobody above you. Nobody through the wall.
Inside there’s a real kitchen — full-size fridge, oven, stovetop, pots and pans, the lot — plus a living room, an electric fireplace and a king bed. Outside, a covered hot tub and a grill. It’s a vacation rental in the plainest sense: the whole place, to yourself, for as long as you’re booked.
Nobody hands you a key. There’s no front desk and no queue at 4pm on a Friday. You get a code, you let yourself in, and you cook dinner if you feel like cooking dinner.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Cypress Creek Cottages takes dogs of every breed and every size — no weight limit, no banned list, no deposit. It’s $15 per dog per night, two to a cottage, and if you’ve got three it’s a phone call.
There’s a bowl, a mat and a treat waiting when you walk in. There’s a fenced park where he can run off the leash, which is the thing guests mention most. Daycare if you want a day out without him.

On the pavilion wall there’s a mural of dogs and cats painted as people — a husky in a polo shirt, a bulldog with a guitar, a very unimpressed ginger cat leaning on a cane. Guests photograph their own dog in front of it. It is, by some distance, the most photographed thing on the property.

What’s in the cottage?
Every cottage at Cypress Creek Cottages has a full kitchen — full-size fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave, coffee maker, plates, pans, knives that cut. A separate living room with an electric fireplace, a king memory-foam bed, one bathroom, and a deck with a grill.
Cypress Creek Cottages sells in-room experience packages you can add when you book — wine, romance, a swim-pass bundle, spa services with our partner. Whatever you choose is set up in the cottage before you arrive, so it’s waiting when you open the door. Guests mention this more than almost anything else.

Does every cottage have its own hot tub?
All twelve. Every cottage at Cypress Creek Cottages has a private covered hot tub on its own deck — not a shared one you walk to in a robe, and not one you book a slot for.
Covered, so rain doesn’t stop you. On your own deck, so the walk back inside is four steps in a towel and nobody watches you do it. Where decks sit close enough to matter, there are privacy curtains, and they work.
The water stays at temperature year-round. In February that turns out to be the whole point.
How quiet is it?
Cypress Creek Cottages sits on 4.5 wooded acres just outside the middle of Wimberley. Quiet is the single most common thing guests say about the place in their Google reviews — more common than the hot tubs.
Deer wander through. One guest counted one standing thirty feet from her car, twice in a weekend. The Square is close enough to walk or drive to and far enough that you can’t hear it.
There’s a fire pit in the common area and the firewood is free — city and county burn bans permitting, which in a Texas summer is not a formality.
Which cottages are on the creek?
Four of the twelve cottages at Cypress Creek Cottages sit on Cypress Creek. Three face it directly — Amethyst, Coral and Jade. One, Pewter, sits creek-side: steps from the water, on the creek side of the property, without the view.
The other eight are on the wooded part of the grounds. Short walk to the water. No creek view from the deck, and we’d rather say that now than have you find out on arrival.

Anniversaries, mostly. Then birthdays, honeymoons, family reunions, weddings, and a lot of people driving in from Houston on a Friday afternoon because they need three days where nobody can reach them. Couples book more than anyone else. Families are next.

We have a fenced pet park on the property, creek access for your dog, and a Very Important Pet (VIP) welcome package waiting for them: bowl, treat, and comfort mat. The pet fee is $15 per pet, per night — no pet deposit, no breed restriction, no weight limit. Are there breed or weight restrictions for dogs?
No breed restrictions. No weight limits. No pet deposit. Unlike most pet-friendly hotels, we don’t discriminate by breed or size. We’ve hosted everything from chihuahuas to Great Danes. We do ask that pets be housebroken, on a leash outdoors, and considerate of other guests and pets. Aggressive or excessively noisy pets will be asked to leave — that’s our only rule.

Can I walk to the Wimberley Town Square from Cypress Creek Cottages?
Yes — less than a mile. A flat, scenic walk gets you from your cottage to the Wimberley Town Square in about 15 minutes. That means dinner at one of the Square restaurants, a glass of wine on a patio, browsing the boutiques and galleries, or visiting the Wimberley Market Days (first Saturday March–December) — all without getting in a car. Walking back to your private deck and your private hot tub after dinner is a small Hill Country luxury that most lodging options can’t offer.
