Wimberley Landmarks

Like the entirety of the Texas Hill Country, Wimberley is perfect for outdoor lovers. Old Baldy Trail and hill is a spot full of hiking and history. Once an old dance spot, you can still see some piece of the dancefloor that gave Old Baldy its signature look and name.

There are also lots of scenic swimming spots in and around Wimberley. Jacob’s Well, located over a gorgeous natural spring, is a popular favorite.

The Devil’s Backbone is a scenic haunt, literally. This loop offers Wild West-inspired views and vistas, and sports lots of high-action history. It’s even got a tavern you can stop at along the way.

Cypress Creek Nature Trail Park is just a four-minute walk from Cypress Creek Cottages. Take in the gorgeous landscape, flowers, and fresh air on 2.3 miles of trails.

Wimberley Shopping and Activities

The Wimberley Markets Days are back! Open the first Saturday from 7 am to 3 pm – it’s a great place to browse local food and crafts. Check out these themed days, enjoy some local shopping, food, and live music.

The EmilyAnn Theatre & Gardens is another great place to pass the time in Wimberley this summer. Pay a visit to the Veterans Memorial Plaza, as well as the public gardens and art features. And keep an eye out for their theatre performances, too.

For a unique bar experience, head over to the Shady Llama, a family-owned beer and wine garden where you can sample great drinks and even catch a glimpse of the llamas and donkeys hanging around!

Add some adrenaline to your Texas Hill Country adventure by taking a ride on one of the ten ziplines at Wimberley Zipline Adventures.

If golfing is your preferred outdoor activity, head over to the beautiful and challenging 72-par, 18-hole course at Quicksand at Woodcreek Golf Club.

July 4th Festivities in Wimberley and the Texas Hill Country

The Wimberley Independence Day Parade for 2021 is being held On Monday, July 5 at 10 am.
