Pet-friendly isn’t a policy at Cypress Creek Cottages — it’s how the property was built. Every one of our 12 cottages welcomes dogs, with no breed restrictions and no surprise fees. We welcome around 3,000 pets every year, and we’ve spent three decades figuring out what makes a stay genuinely good for them and for you.
Every dog who stays with us is greeted with a VIP welcome package — a welcome letter, pet treats, a complimentary toy, a pet pillow, bowls, potty pick-up bags, and a “just in case” wee pad. Everything they need to settle in, waiting in your cottage when you arrive.
Inside the property, your dog has unlimited access to a fenced and lighted dog park, located by Cottages 2 and 3. We provide a scooper, bags, and a trash can at the park, plus a covered seating area, so there’s nothing for you to remember to bring.
Down by the south edge of the property, Cypress Creek runs along Cottages 9, 10, and 11 — open to your dog for supervised splashing, wading, and the kind of cooled-paw-pads happiness that defines a Hill Country summer.
At $15 per night per pet, our fee is the lowest of any Wimberley lodging operator that allows pets — and unlike many “pet-friendly” properties, we don’t impose breed restrictions, weight limits, or hassle fees layered on at check-in.

A Standalone Cottage, Not a Hotel Room
Each of our 12 cottages is a standalone building — your own walls, your own front door, your own private deck. Inside, you’ll find a full kitchen, a king memory foam bed, an electric fireplace, a BBQ grill on the deck, and the privacy you can’t get in a hotel or a shared rental. Most cottages sleep two to four guests; our larger 1BR + loft cottages sleep five; our two 2BR creek-facing cottages sleep six.
Your Own Private Hot Tub on Your Own Deck
Every cottage at Cypress Creek Cottages has its own private hot tub — on a private deck, screened from neighbors, no shared spa areas and no waiting in line. The hot tub is yours for the length of your stay. Paired with the king memory foam bed, the electric fireplace, and the deck BBQ grill, it’s the centerpiece of an evening that’s entirely yours.
On Cypress Creek Itself
Cypress Creek Cottages sits along the bank of Cypress Creek itself — a quiet stretch of clear Hill Country water, shaded by the cypress trees that give the property its name. Cottages 9 (Amethyst) and 10 (Coral) are directly creek-facing and book first; Cottage 11 (Jade) is creek-facing as well, and Cottage 12 (Pewter) is creek-side. Every guest and every dog has access to the creek.
Walk to the Wimberley Square
The Historic Wimberley Square is under a mile from the property — close enough to walk to dinner, walk back after a glass of wine, and walk over again for Market Days the first Saturday of the month without ever moving the car. Restaurants, the historic district, shopping, and art galleries are all on foot.

- Pet day care available daily, 9 AM to 5 PM. Use our in-house pet day care ($20/hour per pet — book at checkout, by phone, or via our Pet Day Care booking page) for an afternoon out at the wineries or dinner on the Square. For longer stays, overnight care, or specialized pet-sitting needs, our partner Wimberley Pet Sitting — professional, insured, and bonded — is available by arrangement.

We believe pet-friendly travel should give back to the dogs and cats who haven’t yet found their families. Twenty-five percent of every pet fee paid at Cypress Creek Cottages goes directly to Wimberley Adoption Group & Rescue (WAG Rescue) — our local Wimberley animal rescue.
WAG Rescue has been saving precious lives since 2009. Their mission is to help alleviate overcrowding in Central Texas shelters and provide dog adoption services to the community — caring for abandoned, neglected, and surrendered dogs in and around Wimberley and finding them their permanent homes.
